Another one of my favorite smoothie recipes on the blog! Blue-nana Muffin Smoothie (or Blueberry Banana Muffin Smoothie in normal terms). This one, and the Chunky Monkey meets Fat Elvis are always my two go-tos!
A few weeks ago, I started documenting exactly how I make the perfect smoothie, because it was one of the questions I get asked the most. So, I wrote down my tips and tricks, as well as the best smoothie add-ins, the benefits of drinking smoothies, and then created a challenge around incorporating more smoothies into our every day lives! Seriously, look at this deliciousness!!!
The best way to wake up in the morning! Extremely healthy and delicious.
- 1/2 ripe banana (can be frozen)
- 1/2 C blueberries
- 1/2 C plain 0% fat greek yogurt*
- 1/2 C almond milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 2 ice cubes
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- Optional Add-Ins**
Throw it all in a powerful blender.
Pulse on high for 30 seconds.
Blend on high for 30 more seconds.
*If you're eating a non-dairy diet, I recommend non-dairy yogurt, coconut milk, or excluding it (but adding more banana and almond milk)
**Add in optional add-ins of choice. For this smoothie in particular, I like chia seeds, hemp seeds, or vanilla protein powder.*
