Momma’s {Famous} Granola

This is hands down my favorite granola recipe of all time. I eat it by the handful. Many handfuls! Honestly, you will never need another granola recipe after this one. It is SO GOSH DANG DELICIOUS.

I usually add some almonds to the granola as well, but I was fresh out of those and I just could not wait to make it. I didn’t even notice the difference. So if you want, add some almonds. If you don’t want to, then don’t. You will love it either way. Also, make sure you use coconut chips and not shredded coconut. That would NOT be good.

Mix the oats, nuts, seeds, and coconut in a large roasting dish. The main sweetener in this recipe is maple syrup, but if you prefer really sweet granola, add 1/4 C brown sugar. Otherwise, I prefer sweetening it with honey instead.

Mix the syrup, honey, water, and oil together and pour over the dry ingredients.

Coat thoroughly. Im not going to lie. I ate a couple spoonfuls before I even baked it. I just can’t handle it. SO GOOD.

Bake for a good hour and a half, stirring about half way through. I really recommend making this in a roasting pan. It cooks evenly and is so easy to stir. Baking sheets are messy.

Version 2

Every couple years, my grandma and mom go to the cranberry marsh in a nearby town (link here) and get different types of cranberries. Their blueberry flavored are my faaaavorite. They have pomegranate, strawberry, raspberry, orange, cherry and traditional as well! And a million other fabulous and delicious products.

Now excuse me while I go stuff my face with this. Love mixing it with yogurt, banana, and peanut butter. You should too. You won’t regret it.
